If your machine develops a leak, you should try to repair the leak as quickly as possible. Whether that’s in the transmission, hydraulic lines, or engine, the leak could become worse or cause the machine to operate at a sub-optimal level.
In this video, we repair a GX345 that had a leaking transmission. In this case, the top main seal had failed and needed replaced. We used the John Deer Parts Catalog (https://partscatalog.deere.com/jdrc/) to figure out what parts we needed, then got them from our local John Deere dealer to repair this transaxle.
